Meet Chappel Fisher of Movin' 94.5
Her first love was music. She started playing guitar in a rock band in the late 70's. Soon, that love of music turned to not only playing in a band but playing music on the airwaves as well when a local jock "The Foxx" told her she had a nice voice. She began doing voiceovers for his show. Soon she embarked on a broadcast career that would have her leaving home and heading to Nashville, TN where she worked at Country powerhouse WSIX. While there, she also hosted a television show called "Pillow Talk". Television beckoned a second time in Charleston, SC when "Cat Trax" produced by her then Program Director Loyd Ford aired. Her radio travels took her to stations in Charleston, SC., Charlotte, NC., Nashville, TN and Des Moines, IA in a variety of formats including Country, Soft rock and others. Her career then brought her full circle back to Myrtle Beach. We're pleased to report that Chappel's back on-the air at Movin' 94.5, getting listeners up in the morning with traffic and weather and "Movin'" listeners through the workday with songs that pick you up and make you feel good! "I came back here to be with family," she said. This marks a format switch for me. After many years on-the-air away from the Carolina's…"Its great to be back home".
